New TLM Mass - Saint Rita's Parish, Alexandria, VA, Thursday, August 19th

This is excellent news that "came over the wire" this afternoon:

At the beginning of the week, make sure this is on your calendar:

Traditional Latin Mass (low)
St Rita Parish
Thursday, August 19th @ 7:30pm

The parish is located at 3815 Russell Rd in Alexandria.

It's EXTREMELY important that there be a good and consistent crowd for this Mass. The pastor is very friendly to Tradition, and I believe there is a good chance that St. Rita Parish will add a regular Sunday TLM -- but only if there is a clear sign it will be supported by showing that this form of the Mass is in demand on Thursday evenings.

The TLM will be celebrated EVERY THURSDAY from now on.

The Low Mass format should get everyone done by 8PM. This is my parish, and I'm very happy to see Fr. Gee implementing so many good liturgical reforms. We need to reciprocate by showing our support for this Mass every Thursday we can go. At a minimum, we should have 50 or so hardy souls for this.

The Mass will now be found in the local TLM entries in the Right Navigation Bar.
