Source for Propers: Saint Andrew Daily Missal and the Marian Missal, 1945

The Ordinary of the Mass is not from the Missal of Pope John XXIII, 1962 which is the Missal Approved by Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict XVI

To my knowledge, this is the ONLY site available which provides the daily Latin/English Propers for each day. I discovered it linked to an online newsletter posted by the F.S.S.P. in Oklahoma.

The author of this blog, Deo volente, totally disavows the "sedevantist sentiments" of the views of this website which posts these Propers of the TLM. He provides these Propers solely as a service to those in need of them online and uses other sources when possible.

The Divine Life: New ADW Weekly TLM at St. John Neumann Church in Gaithersburg, MD - February 21st, 2010

Many of you will notice that I have been linking to a very nice blog entitled, The Divine Life, written by Eric Sammons. Today, he posted the following:

On an even more local note, the pastor of my own parish, St. John Neumann in Gaithersburg, MD, will begin celebrating the Extraordinary Form of the Mass weekly at 5pm on Sundays starting on Feb. 21st (the First Sunday in Lent). He will begin by celebrating the low mass, and he hopes to move to a Missa Cantata (basically a low mass with a choir) by Easter.

If you are in the area, try to make an effort to attend!

I asked him to confirm this and he has. You will notice it is now listed in the menu of the TLM Masses in the region. This is great news!

Laus Deo!

Catholic Review Online: Bishops’s statement urges support for pregnant women, rejects harassment of pro-life centers

The Catholic Review has posted an article calling for support for women facing crisis pregnancies. The post describes a document written by the Bishops of the Maryland Catholic Conference called "Set Out in Haste." The Catholic Review story states in part:
“Set Out in Haste: Serving Women, Serving Life” was signed by Baltimore Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien, Washington Archbishop Donald W. Wuerl and Wilmington Bishop W. Francis Malooly, whose dioceses include parts of Maryland.

[...]

The statement decries a recent campaign by NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland and Planned Parenthood of Maryland to single out pro-life pregnancy resource centers, which provide pregnant women with emotional and material assistance.

Since 2008, three proposals have been introduced – one each at the state level, in Baltimore City and in Montgomery County – that would subject pregnancy resource centers to compelled-speech requirements, regulations, and possible fines because they decline to provide or refer for abortion or contraception.

The state bill died in committee in 2008, the Baltimore City bill was signed into law in December, and the Montgomery County proposal is still under consideration.

The bishops asserted that the proposals send a “disturbing” message that failure to provide abortion or contraception is an activity that merits regulation and, if necessary, punishment. "

The full article in the Catholic Review can be found here. The link to the full statement by the Bishops to the Maryland Catholic Conference, "Set Out in Haste," can be found here.
