Evening of the 2014 March for Life
St. Mary Mother of God Church
5th and H Sts. NW, Washington DC

The Paulus Institute for the Propagation of Sacred Liturgy, Washington DC, reminds participants in the 40th March for Life of the Second Annual Nellie Gray Mass commemorating the “Joan of Arc” of the March for Life and offering our prayers of remembrance and repose of her soul.

Nellie regularly attended the Sunday traditional Mass at St. Mary’s and drew a direct nexus between the right to life and clear expression of Catholic belief in the traditional Mass. All are welcome to join in this Mass and in Nellie’s devotion to it and her life’s work.

The celebrant of the Mass will be Dom Philip Anderson, O.S.B., Father Abbot of Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey (Diocese of Tulsa). Most Rev. Monsignor Andrew Wadsworth (Archdiocese of Westminster (UK)) will be the deacon, and Rev. James Bradley (Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham (UK) will be the subdeacon.

The Mass is that of the feast day of Ss. Vincent and Anastasius, martyrs. A rosary in Latin will precede the Mass. Music will be provided by the Schola Cantorum of The Lyceum School of Classical Catholic Education, South Euclid, Ohio, singing the Missa Brevis by Palestrina, and Don Clark, director of music at St. St. Mary’s and organist. Co-sponsors of the Mass, along with the Lyceum School, are Juventutem Michigan and Juventutem DC.

Special appreciation is extended to Rev. Fr. Alfred J. Harris, Pastor of St. Mary Mother of God Church.

Adjacent street parking will not be available. Closest Metro stops are Gallery Place (red, yellow, and green lines) and Judiciary Sq. (red).   See the March for Life website.
