(10/21/08, Chantilly, VA) – DMC Pharmacy opened today in Chantilly, VA with a blessing of the building by the Most Reverend Paul S. Loverde, Bishop of Arlington. The DMC pharmacy is the newest addition to the Divine Mercy Care family of healthcare services. DMC Pharmacy is a pro-life pharmacy specifically designed to meet the pharmaceutical needs in a prolife, pro-woman, and pro-family atmosphere. Located in the Sully Place Shopping Center, in the heart of Chantilly, VA, DMC Pharmacy provides a convenient opportunity for families and individuals to have their prescriptions filled and their pharmaceutical questions answered in a friendly environment. Divine Mercy Care is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Catholic healthcare organization in Northern Virginia that also operates the Tepeyac Family Center, a popular six physician pro-life OB-GYN practice located in Fairfax, VA.

DMC Pharmacy will offer “superior pharmaceutical care—both traditional and clinical services—focusing on the individual in a family-oriented, pro-life environment, free of contraceptive products and anti-life messages,” said, Robert Semler, the manager/pharmacist of DMC Pharmacy. “I am thrilled to be able to provide excellent pharmaceutical care to all who walk through the doors,” Semler said, “and I am grateful to be able to practice within the umbrella of Divine Mercy Care where my conscience will never be violated and my faith does not have to be ‘checked at the door’ each morning.”

DMC Pharmacy is located at 13945 Metrotech Drive, Chantilly, Virginia 20151, in the Sully Place Shopping Center, next to The Catholic Shop, a well-established gift and book store. The DMC Pharmacy will offer FDA approved prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, and quality alternative products including vitamins, natural products, homeopathics and herbals, home health needs and special order products and equipment. In keeping with Divine Mercy Care’s principles, the DMC Pharmacy will not dispense, recommend or counsel on contraceptive products.

“Divine Mercy Care is values-based and consumer-driven. Neither patients nor professionals want to abandon their conscience while they seek medical care,” said, Dr. John Bruchalski, president of Divine Mercy Care. “We need to be professional, personal, and passionate about how we infuse our community with the love of Jesus Christ. We must not separate our faith from our work. The God of science is also the God of revealed religion” said Bruchalski. “As Pope Benedict XVI emphasized in his recent visit to the USA, ‘Only when their faith permeates every aspect of their lives do Christians become truly open to the transforming power of the Gospel.’”
