NLM: Juventutem Is Organizing in D.C. on August 15th, 2013

I posted this link on 8/7/2013 but it is now "making the rounds" on Yahoo Groups.   I am re-posting an email post from my friend, Matthew, for those who are not aware of this Juventutem event!

The following was recently posted on the New Liturgical Movement website:

Juventutem is the rapidly growing international network of young people interested in the extraordinary form of Mass. There has been some talk about forming a D.C. chapter. If you are interested, there will be a meeting to discuss the idea following a Mass on Thursday August 15, 6pm, at St Thomas Apostle Woodley Road NW. This will be the first celebration of the Extraordinary Form Sung Mass at St Thomas Apostle since Vatican II. The music will be chant with a small schola singing the proper and the whole congregation singing the ordinary (Mass IX & Credo III). If there is a good response in terms of attendance this will be a useful indicator in planning for the future. Nearest Metro: Woodley Park [Red Line]

I should add that though Juventutem is a young adult oriented group (20s-30s), all are welcome and encouraged to attend this special liturgy. If you are a young adult interested in joining the group or finding out more, please do attend the reception afterwards.

Pax Christi,
Matthew
