"THE ROMAN CANON: WE DON'T CHANGE IT. IT CHANGES US."

Come join us for a Recollection in the 9th Anniversary Year of Summorum Pontificum - Following a Missa Cantata for the Feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

The motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, freeing the traditional Roman Rite for celebration by Latin Rite priests of the Church, was officially promulgated by Pope Benedict XVI on September 14, 2007. Join us as we mark nine years of this crucial moment in the liturgical life of the Church for a Sung Traditional Latin Mass and a recollection by Fr. Brian Sanderfoot of the Archdiocese of Washington on the heart of the Roman Rite - the Roman Canon, arguably the oldest of all anaphoras of the ancient rites of the Church - and how, when we prayerfully engage it, it changes us.

The event is free to the public. For those interested, there will be a social afterward at the Brookland Pint. New and returning CUA (and other DC Area university) students are especially invited to join us!
